Here is a MAJOR time saver that can be helpful to all teachers! Before you upload a file, take some time to classify it on two scales.
1) Bloom's taxonomy of learning (or level of difficulty for the age group intended)
2) Multiple intelligence theory (or type of learning activity involved)
For example, if I want to upload a very advanced lab procedure for the Science 8 course on dissecting a sheep eye. I might consider the level of difficulty to lie in the higher order of analysis, and the type of activity to be a combination of logical mathematical, spatial and kinesthetic. So I might classify it as (analysis: logical, spatial, kinesthetic). The benefit to other teachers is they can see at a glance if a given resource is appropriate for what they are looking for. If I'm seeking a quick kinesthetic low level task for a particular lesson, I don't need to spend as much time reviewing all the possible resources in that topic before selecting one. If we all share in this part of the thinking, we all benefit by saving time down the road!
